God’s Divine Intervention

I will no longer feel the need to compare my worth to the universe’s powerful motives.

In the cosmic dance of existence, I’ve decided to step away from the relentless urge to measure my worth against the vast and intricate motives of the universe. It’s a declaration, a profound commitment to liberate myself from the shackles of comparison and embrace the radiant authenticity that resides within. God designed me, God has a plan, I have come so far in my journey to explore this….  I have allowed His design to show me and if I were to set any resolution for 2024, it would be to continue this journey but dig deeper into who I am as an artist.  I know who I am as a woman but desire a deeper relationship with my soul.  I am removing barriers (to include things and PEOPLE) that do not share my journey that hold me back and am open to what is to be yet shown. 

This journey, sparked by a realization that my essence is a unique melody in the symphony of life, is a testament to the power of self-love and acceptance.

Too often, we find ourselves entrapped in the illusion that our worth is contingent upon comparing our journey to the grandeur of others’ expectations.  My life is built upon a different journey, one only God planned perfectly for me. If I were to measure my journey against someone else’s I will ALWAYS fail as that is not my path nor happiness. If we measure our successes, failures, and very existence against this tapestry of life, forgetting that within us lies our own God driven plan and purpose we will MISS what we were created for.  I do not want that.   I’ve decided to break free from this self-imposed cage and acknowledge that my worth is not determined by how closely I align with any other standard or anyone else’s self-imposed plan, but embrace only God’s plan, I will be truly authentic to my own journey.

The universe is vast and magnificent, and its motives are beyond the grasp of my limited human comprehension. I have to trust and give my journey to God.  Instead of shrinking in the face of this vastness, I choose to tower tall, recognizing that my individuality is a unique expression of the God’s perfectly orchestrated dance for me. My canvas is still being painted and, I find the strength to forge my own path and illuminate my own God driven destiny.

This is not a declaration of separation from the universe; rather, it’s an affirmation of my interconnectedness with it as God created the universe. I am a microcosm within the macrocosm, a reflection of the cosmic beauty that surrounds me. As I release the need for comparison, I create space for inspiration, growth, gratitude, awe, and reverence for the extraordinary journey that is uniquely designed for me alone. No one else has my path, it was not designed for anyone else but me.

In this newfound liberation, I am rediscovering the magic within my own existence. Every heartbeat, every dream, every word in my journal every step forward is a divine celebration. I am no longer a passive observer, measuring my worth against the universe’s motives; I am an active participant, contributing my own hues to the power of His creation.

So, here’s to the journey of self-discovery, self-love, and unapologetic authenticity. Here’s to embracing the profound truth that my worth is immeasurable, my journey is incomparable, and my light is an essential part of the universe’s ever-evolving masterpiece. In releasing the need for comparison, I step into the fullness of my being, ready to dance to the rhythm of God’s designed path for me alone.

I paint intuitively by embracing spontaneity to allow passionate paintings to be born through a transforming layering process of acrylics and inks. Each layer informs the next story of paint. In addition to layers often you will find sand, coffee, glass beads or perhaps even a gum wrapper invoking the question of what story is being revealed. I paint what I feel, how I feel, and each found object in my art continues that story. It is my hope that you find a connection to my work and might, if only for a moment, become captivated and feel something within yourself. The art I create are visual expressions of my inner soul, spirit and passion. Once a corporate entrepreneur trapped inside a suit and wearing heels, the desire to put my feelings, thoughts, and emotions on canvas became too powerful. The life-changing event that turned the corporate pen into a paintbrush was the dark world of Alzheimer’s that struck my mother. I could not wait any longer to paint in the event that world captured me as well. Leaving the boardroom behind, what has emerged is a new language expressed on canvas. This language expresses the freedom and unbound passion to create and let my art direct itself without fear or influences that has previously stifled my intuitive style. Constantly moving around the world, staying in one place no longer than three years at one time, living in the back of a musician’s studio, provided the opportunity to meet vast numbers of different people from all walks of life. These experiences set the canvas for the style of abstracts I paint because I find these people, locations, and experiences are represented in each painting in some way.
