Does God Answer All of Our Prayers

YES, absolutely!! Here is my story.

Lately there have been many things in my life that are out of my control, and I cannot see what the end might be. I pray and sometimes it seems I am praying blindly.  I am expecting the end of a situation to go one way, and it goes another.  People are not healed, situations do not go the direction I feel they should have, conversations do not end in the way I thought they should….. I am sure you know what I mean.

“Response with Dimensionality”

With all this,  how I survive this feeling of not being in control, is to KNOW without doubt God is in control. I know that God already knows the last chapter, so I do not need to worry about the end of the story.  The last chapter of the book!

I do have to trust that the end will be God’s perfect plan.

I was asked by a friend struggling with the same feelings and she asked me…. “Does God Answer All of Our Prayers, or just some of them?”

The answer is YES, He answers ALL of our prayers, we just might not see the end of the chapter!!

God asks us to bring all our hurts, wins, concerns, questions, etc. to him.  In fact, He tells in  1 Thessalonians 5:17–19 says “Pray without ceasing.”

He also says, “As for me, I shall call upon God, And the Lord will save me.” Psalm 55:16-17.  Many scholars refer to this verse saying God hears our voice and responds. There are times when I pray and feel immediate answers.  But there are times I have to have faith that God heard me even when I feel my prayers are unanswered and I feel like He is not listening.

In my 65 years of living, I have learned that it is not that God is not listening to me, OR answering my prayers, but He already has the situation planned to the end.  It might be that along the way, I have tears, fears or questions, but I MUST refocus my head, AND HEART, on the truth that just because God is not showing me the answers, it is NOT that He is keeping the best from me.  His plan is best.  If He says NO, it is best.  If he says No, not now, His plan is best.

My heart might argue for a bit and expect my prayers to be answered in the way I feel they should be, but I have to trust God truly cares for me. 1 John 5:14 – 15 says: “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.”

TRUST that God has a plan and this plan will be the best for us.  PERIOD.

  1. Thank you for sharing this and yes, God hears the prayers of His children and answers them in His way and His time. We must trust Him, knowing He has our good and His glory in mind. I am joyful to find another Christian artist – we are an enigma! Praise God!
